BACK TO BASICS - ACTING WORKSHOP
Transform Your Acting and Connect with Your Authentic Self.
Whether you're just starting out or you need to brush up on the fundamentals of acting, this is the workshop for you! You will connect to that part of yourself where you are freely creative and are able to use your imagination and emotions. Employing some exercises from Stephen Book’s “Improvisation Technique”, you’ll learn how to improvise new choices when you think there is nothing more to do; how to use your body freely and feel it in the present without thinking about it; and how to open up so emotions arise spontaneously while performing.

This workshop will provide you with a fun and challenging environment, uniquely free of judgment and disapproval, where everyone works during each class. You will learn how to approach a script with a sense of confidence, and you will gain an understanding of the basics of acting like relationships, objective, emotional connection, conflict, character development, discovery, and moment-to-moment honesty.
